Radio on the Listener Level - Scrapbooks assembled by listeners
Particularly prior to the advent of television when radio was the nation's primary entertainment medium, listeners often bought magazines devoted to radio's stars and occasionally assembled scrapbooks of articles, photos and newspaper news stories about national and local radio personalities.

These scrapbooks offer a window both into the radio stations, networks and personalities of the time as well as the type of interests which listeners held.
